People I have helped, have experienced many kinds of difficulties including:
anxiety, dissatisfaction, panic attacks, low self-esteem, feeling overwhelmed or lonely and isolated, loss and bereavement, depression, life transformations, divorce, career changes, LGBTQ+, identity issues, performance related stress, the impact of a family members difficulties, work with couples, other relationship issues.
I provide clinical supervision, accredited in Clinical Supervision, Level 2 approved by BPS.
Apart from seeing clients in my private practise, I support children and young people therapeutically at a primary School for Your Space Therapies Ltd. and at a Secondary School for Dialogue, YMCA Downslink.
I am a member of the Brighton and Hove Therapy Hub.
I work within the ethical framework as a Registered BACP Member.
My training is the Postgraduate Diploma in Psychodynamic Therapeutic Counselling from the University of Brighton. I have gained further skills in other modalities enabling me to tailor my services to the individual needs of my clients.
Through my work at various agencies, such as:
Mid Sussex Counselling Centre (long term work with adults),
CRI (substance misuse services),
Patched (families and carers of substance misusers),
Dialogue (children and young people),
Your Space Therapies (children and young people)
I have gained experience working with multitude of ages (between 4-80) and issues.
I attend regular CPD (continual professional development) workshops and training, such as
Assist (suicide prevention),
Duo counselling (working with couples),
Self – harm in young people;
learning different therapeutic interventions.
